"Just a Girl and her Garden" Original

This piece feels like a little reflection of me. I painted it as I was finding my way back to the easel after taking time away, and I wanted to let go of expectations and simply enjoy working with color again. Inspired by Monet's dreamy garden paintings, I filled it with rich greens, soft blues, deep reds, and bright pops of yellow that made me fall back in love with painting. The girl in her overalls feels familiar too, because I'm almost always wearing a pair myself. I don't have a garden of my own yet, but I dream about the day I can spend slow mornings tending one, just like my mom always did. This original oil painting is created on an 11x14 gallery wrapped canvas and comes beautifully framed in a vintage-inspired wood frame, ready to hang and enjoy.
