"Georgia" Original

I painted Georgia because I wanted to create a portrait that felt whimsical, timeless, and a little unexpected. I exaggerated the oversized hat and flowing blouse, then added the deep burgundy ribbon as a pop of color against the soft green background. My favorite part was painting the light as it falls across her face and chin, giving the whole piece a quiet warmth. I wasn't trying to paint a perfect portrait; I just wanted it to feel like art, full of loose brushstrokes, movement, and personality. This original oil painting is created on an 8x10 canvas board and comes beautifully displayed in a vintage-inspired gold frame, ready to hang and enjoy.
